If your daily life includes interacting with a bank then in many cases you absolutely do need a smartphone many banks no longer have websites that can be accessed with a web browser.

And thank's for the advice, but I know how to live with little to survive and I know what I need to thrive and that ain't the same thing.

Go and visit some places in the world were people struggle for the basic necessities of life and God himself will tell you.

Been there. And I don't feel the need to be in that situation, but life is more about survival.
