People make a big fuss about the neuralink monkeys, which puzzles me. I think they're probably on the upper end of luxury on the bell curve scale of treatment of lab animals. It's low volume and clearly fairly decent treatment. If it was me I would start looking down towards less sexy companies which don't attract public scrutiny to see what they're doing. Better yet, spare a thought for "consumable" animals. Have a guess about how they treat birds used for down feathers for puffer jackets and such. Look it up if you're brave and haven't eaten recently.
