The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov is possibly my favourite magical realism book. I found that some of David Mitchell's writing is similar to Murakami, specifically number9dream, Ghostwritten and Cloud Atlas.
Through reading Murakami I've gotten into Kobo Abe, he shares that weirdness with him and are very Kafkaesque, I loved The Woman in the Dunes and The Box Man.
The Master and Margarita and Wind Up Bird Chronicle are two of my favorite books at the moment, so this seems like a good bet. The way both authors blend physically/spatially/temporally distinct characters and settings into one narrative is very similar, and incredibly satisfying.
I've got 200GB+ of photos,maybe 10 times that in video, all because I have kids and I'll probably never look at most of them again , yet I NEED to save them somewhere!
I think it's crazy that echonest still doesn't have any album information in their api, for building anything to do with music when is album info not useful?
Maybe they don't want to duplicate the effort of MusicBrainz. MusicBrainz is about warehousing preexisting metadata (track listings, credits, etc.), whereas EchoNest specializes in using algorithms to extract novel features.

I was actually about to ask the same question. I haven't seen the book but I expect it contains a lot of command line snippets and code, and in my experience the Kindle does a ... shall we say unsatisfactory job of rendering those.
